Stitch a Little Sunshine: Knit Flowerpot Cozies

Hand-knit flowerpot cozies in colorful yarn on terracotta pots with herbs and flowers, outdoor garden display

Dress your pots in hand-knit cozies, each one bringing a touch of color and charm to a garden nook.

Some projects are big. Sweaters, blankets, heirlooms in the making.
And then there are the small ones—the quick, quiet makes that brighten your space and calm your hands. Our Flowerpot Cozies fall into that second, sweeter category.

This quick little cozy wraps your smallest plants in warmth and texture. Designed to fit snugly around a 3"–4" nursery pot, it’s a satisfying one-skein make—perfect for gifting, desk-brightening, or transforming a windowsill herb into something special.

We wrote this pattern to be beginner-friendly, stash-appropriate, and endlessly adaptable. Change the yarn, adjust the stitch count, or add a little button for extra character. It’s a simple way to use what you have and make something you’ll love seeing every day.
